Remember Phinda, our big wild Cheetah male with a severe front leg injury? He is doing amazing!
In the meantime he has moved to a new camp closer to other Cheetahs, which is still small enough so he doesn’t put too much strain on the leg but big enough to gain strength and muscle mass back.
As fussy as he can be, Phinda’s appetite is as strong as a Wild Dog’s, to the point he even comes up for his meal while the handler is still placing it down for him.
The leg wound is slowly healing but will still take a lot of time to eventually fully close up.
Phinda has only been with us for just over 3 weeks now but has already taken a special place in our hearts.
